Our story
Casa de las Casas is a sustainable luxury fashion brand inspired by the vibrant everyday life of Lima, Peru’s capital city. We are dedicated to reimagining contemporary Peruvian culture while preserving the region’s rich textile heritage. Each garment reflects the essence of Latin American way of living.
Our collections tell the stories of different places in Peru, with the aim of having these narratives travel the world through our pieces. The prints we design are crafted from photographs personally taken by our founder, adding a deeply personal and artistic touch to our garments. We offer both a ready-to-wear line for everyday sophistication and elegance; and a handmade line, where each piece is meticulously crafted by hand, celebrating artisanal techniques.
Casa de las Casas invites you to experience a blend of heritage, storytelling, and an elegant yet bold style with every piece.
Our commitment to quality and craftsmanship
Collaboration is central to our philosophy. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted by a network of skilled artisans, empowering local communities and celebrating local talent. We carefully source our materials from local suppliers who prioritize sustainability and deliver exceptional quality. By combining artisanal techniques with our innovative approach, including the use of photographic prints, we bridge tradition and modernity, creating designs that honor the past while looking toward the future.
Our Founder
Casa de las Casas was founded by Micaela Santistevan de las Casas. Micaela was born in Lima, Peru and studied Costume Design at Central Saint Martins. She also holds a Master's degree in Fashion design from the Royal College of Art. After six years living and studying in the UK, she returned to her roots in Lima to establish Casa de las Casas.
Our heritage
Growing up, Micaela was deeply influenced by her grandmother, a celebrated Peruvian fashion and costume designer known for her dedication to promoting local culture. From an early age, Micaela was taught the value of preserving Peru’s rich cultural identity and artistic traditions. Her grandmother’s creativity, tireless work ethic, and independent spirit became a lasting source of inspiration. Casa de las Casas reflects both this heritage and Micaela’s own journey.
